Eggzy New Year
This month marks about three months since we first launched the beta version of Eggzy, and we’re excited to announce some things we’re planning for the coming weeks. But first, a big thanks to all of you who have taken the plunge to join us on our mission. While still a little rough, Eggzy’s a better product because of you. Now on to 2011!
Eggzy Blog
First on the list is this blog. Moving forward, we’ll be posting regularly – sometimes about updates to Eggzy, sometimes to get your feedback about how we should approach a new feature, and sometimes to comment on developments in food safety, food security or local economies. Our goal is to make this blog our primary channel of communication to you, our users.
Egg Stand Badges
One of the things we’ve learned over the last months is that many of you are active on a number of sites, and many maintain your own blogs. To help you link your Eggzy flocks to your other sites, we’re developing a set of badges that will help you link your blog, forums or social sites to your Egg Stands. We hope to have an initial set ready soon and will announce their availability right here on the Eggzy blog when they’re ready.
Downloadable Histories
Another flock management feature we’re working on is a simple link you can click on to download a spreadsheet of your flock’s full laying history, in addition to the charts and graphs of the last 30 days you’re used to.
And More…
These are three of the new features we’re developing for 2011. There are more, and we’ll be blogging about those in the coming weeks as well. In the meantime, feel free to give us a heads up if you’ve got any comments or suggestions. We’d love to hear from you.
Thanks again and Happy New Year,
mdt
