New dietary guidelines for vitamin D

pastured eggs are more nutritiousMother Earth News just reported on the new dietary guidelines for vitamin D issued by the Food and Nutrition Board of the Institute of Medicine. By the Board’s count, most American’s are vitamin D deficient. The new recommendations almost triple the prior recommendations. Mother also reports that eggs from pastured chickens can contain up to 6 times as much vitamin D as factory-farmed eggs.
